Why Kingdom Outposts?
Kingdom Outposts are our strategic approach to serving our mission. We believe Kingdom Outpost communities to be the most conducive structure for intimacy with Christ and impact in the world.
Mission
ReWire's mission is to deepen the Church’s intimacy with Christ and its impact in the world.
Strategy
ReWire strategically pursues this mission by creating highly committed missional communities to be a healing force in the broken places of the world. We call these structures “Kingdom Outposts.”
Why Kingdom Outposts?
1. They Make the Mission Tangible
ReWire’s mission is to deepen intimacy with Christ and Kingdom impact in the world. Kingdom Outposts give this mission form and structure—providing a practical, embodied way for people to live out their faith together in real-life contexts.
2. They Cultivate Spiritual Depth in Community
Outposts are more than small groups—they are communities shaped by a shared commitments and spiritual practices. Together, members orient community life around inward, outward, and together rhythms. Spiritual growth is supported by authentic community and real-life experience.
3. They Embody a Prophetic Alternative
Each Outpost serves as a countercultural witness—living out the subversive values of Jesus. They offer a visible, local expression of the Kingdom of God in contrast to the values of the dominant culture.
4. They Extend Hope and Healing into Broken Places
Outposts are not designed to exist for themselves. They are formed to be sent—bringing restoration, advocacy, presence, and good news into places marked by pain, injustice, or marginalization, or suffering. Every Outpost is a frontline expression of God’s renewal project.
5. They Align the Church with the Poor and Marginalized
Kingdom Outposts intentionally position themselves alongside those often overlooked or excluded—reflecting Jesus’ own solidarity with the poor. They help reorient the Church away from comfort and status, and toward presence, compassion, and justice among the vulnerable and oppressed. This is not charity—it’s kinship.
6. They Connect People to Their Calling
Kingdom Outposts provide structure and context to live into calling. Kingdom Outpost communities also connect people who share similar call and passion. We believe call is deeply personal and connected to our own pain. When God brings healing to our pain, God can use our healing to extend the same healing to others.
7. They are Hyper-Localized, Agile, and Responsive to Their Context
Kingdom Outposts are rooted in the particularities of place. They pay attention to the unique needs, histories, and gifts of their neighborhood or community. Because they are small, relational, and Spirit-led, Outposts can embed deeply into the social fabric.
