A Tale of Two Kingdoms

Like the disciples Jesus calls in the Gospels to follow him, we do not enter this relationship as formless students. We've already been discipled and are continually being discipled by the worldview and culture we find ourselves in. In order to repent and turn our lives towards the Kingdom of God, we must be able to see how our lives are already shaped by a competing culture and worldview.

Below is a list of American values and priorities contrasted against values and priorities of the Kingdom of God. Keep in mind, these two sets of values and priorities are vying for your allegiance. You cannot be a disciple of both.
