FORMATION IN COMMUNITY

ReWireU Pathway & Engagement Lead
About ReWireU
The digital future of spiritual formation is already taking shape—but much of it still looks like content consumption. What if a digital environment could become more than a place to consume spiritual content? What if it could become a genuine community where people are known, relationships take root, and meaningful formation unfolds across geography?
ReWireU is an emerging online formation ecosystem built around this possibility. Through live courses, guided pathways, shared practices, coaching, and ongoing community, ReWireU brings proven spiritual formation processes into a dynamic digital environment. Participants do not simply access material; they encounter one another and discover a shared path toward deeper connection with God, meaningful purpose, and genuine belonging.
The platform, programs, community, and formation framework are already in place. But the most exciting possibilities are still ahead. ReWireU is becoming a living formation ecosystem capable of sustaining growth over time and helping new expressions of Kingdom community take root in local contexts.
Position Overview
The Pathway & Engagement Lead owns the ReWireU digital ecosystem experience. A pastoral community cultivator with a gift for hospitality, they welcome people, build authentic relationships, and nurture a community where participants grow in their life with God and one another.
They help participants stay engaged and move deeper along ReWireU’s formation pathways through personal invitations, consistent follow-up, and clear next steps. They offer the personal connection and encouragement that builds momentum toward deeper, sustained formation.
They also sustain trusted relationships with subscribing churches and organizations, helping leaders engage their people, identify relevant pathways, and connect with ReWire coaches and resources. Alongside the ReWireU Director, they shape the community’s culture and practices so individuals and partners find lasting belonging and grow into active participation in Kingdom life.
Role Responsibilities
- Coordinate the transition from initial recruitment into belonging by personally welcoming and orienting new subscribers and participants and continually improving the ReWireU onboarding experience.
- Create opportunities for meaningful interaction through discussions, informal gatherings, shared-calling spaces, and other creative uses of the ReWire Hub.
- Learn participants’ passions, experiences, and formation goals; track their participation; and help them identify meaningful next steps through ReWireU’s courses and extended pathways.
- Connect participants around shared callings, experiences, and locations, while identifying and encouraging emerging leaders who can help participant-led subcommunities take root.
- Notice when participants begin to disengage and respond with thoughtful, personal follow-up that helps them address obstacles and find appropriate ways to remain connected.
- Build trusted relationships with subscribing churches and organizations, helping them activate their subscriptions, understand participation patterns, and connect with relevant ReWireU resources and staff.
- Serve as a knowledgeable first point of contact, connecting participants and partners with appropriate coaching, pastoral care, consultation, technical support, or pathway guidance when needed.
- Gather participant feedback and community insights that help improve ReWireU’s programs, pathways, digital environment, and overall participant experience.
Basic Capabilities
We are open to candidates from a wide range of professional and ministry backgrounds. Character, relational instincts, and a sense of calling are central to this role, along with the following practical capabilities:
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Comfort initiating personal conversations and maintaining contact with individuals and organizational partners over time
- Ability to facilitate online discussions and small-group gatherings
- Ability to explain programs and resources clearly and help people identify relevant next steps
- Reliable follow-through and administrative ability to track participation, conversations, and follow-up needs
- Ability to coordinate onboarding, gatherings, and ongoing participant communication
- Strong proficiency with online tools and platforms, including the ability to learn new software, troubleshoot common issues, and connect tools to support community engagement and administration (Mighty Networks, Zoom, Google Workspace, etc.)
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote environment
Schedule, Travel, and Remote Work
This is a remote position, with most work conducted through Zoom, phone, email, and the ReWire Hub. Candidates should expect approximately 3 to 5 travel commitments each year, including two staff retreats and occasional conferences. Occasional evening and weekend availability will be required for travel, special events, and limited participation in ReWireU programming. Most virtual work can be completed during regular weekday hours, with flexibility needed to connect with people across time zones.
Required Staff Formation Rhythms
ReWire staff participate in shared rhythms of formation as part of their full-time responsibilities. These include weekly staff formation, approximately five hours each week in prayer, five hours in study, and five hours serving among people who are poor, suffering, or marginalized, along with two annual staff retreats.
Support-Raised Compensation
This is a full-time, support-raised ministry position with an annual fundraising goal of approximately $60,000, including compensation and ministry expenses. The employee will build and maintain a personal community of financial partners, with coaching and guidance from ReWire. Employment begins with three months focused primarily on support development, followed by a gradual transition into the role based on the percentage raised. The goal is to reach full funding within six months.
ReWire offers health care benefits, 401k contributions, and a pathway to ordination, which may qualify eligible staff for a clergy housing allowance.
Candidates with previous support-raising experience or an existing ministry donor network are strongly encouraged to apply. The onboarding support-raising timeframe is adjustable for candidates who currently hold an existing donor support base.
