    NATIONAL DIRECTOR

    KONA, HAWAII

    JD's spent the last 30 years working in urban communities. He is a teacher, thinker, and activist. His favorite office is a local coffee shop or international cuisine hotspot.

  • Dr. Peter Watts

    LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA

    Peter has been an educator activist for the past 25 years. His desire is to see education as formation, finding the intersection of faith and education in Black and Brown communities. He loves to travel to Jamaica whenever flights are cheap.

  • Dr. Suresh Thomas

    ATLANTA, GEORGIA - SERVING SOUTH ASIA

    Suresh has traversed over 30 nations living in 3 different continents over the past 50+ years grasping cultural challenges that inflict wounds on one's spirituality and practice. As a leadership and spiritual formation junkie, he considers himself as a thought leader, teacher, and catalyst for collaboration and change. Suresh leads pastors and laypeople in international arenas including India, Sri Lanka and Indonesia. His joyful spots are open and wide horizon landscapes where mountains, valley, and sea converge as well as cricket playgrounds and music arenas.

  • Kim Blomdal

    DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS

    WEIMAR, CALIFORNIA

    Kim has decades of experience in managing operations of Christian based non profits. Overseeing budgets, staff on boarding, community service events as well as national and international mission. Kim has a heart to serve the elderly, poor and marginalized. She loves to spend time with family and friends cooking and spending time in her rural country home with her husband, kids and puppies.

  • Alison Moscoso

    REDWOOD CITY, CALIFORNIA

    Alison has a background in sociology and did asset-based community development for several years. She initially worked with homeless traveling youth before transitioning to living and working in a Latino immigrant community. Alison has a passion for walking with people as they explore their inner worlds and as they seek wholeness in their relationships with self, God, and others. She is currently in training to become a spiritual director.

    CHICAGO, ILLINOIS - SERVING LATIN AMERICA

    Mark lived in Latin America for 29 years and has developed a unique perspective on mission and the church. He is an effective transitional pastor for churches going through change. He also plays a mean guitar.

    A graduate of Bethel Seminary in St. Paul, MN, Tony has been exploring and practicing innovative expressions of church for over 10 years. He is curious, creative, and passionate. In his free time, Tony is a proud toxophilite.

    TIJUANA, MEXICO

    Kathy is a spiritual consultant, educator and minister. Kathy loves listening and experiencing God's movement in other people's lives. This year, God produced a singular desire in her to be a companion with anyone who is ready to journey along a deep contemplative path with our Creator. Kathy joined the ReWire community in 2020. Before that she developed and directed a ministry for foster children in the Bay Area, CA. Prior to her spiritual endeavors, Kathy directed software training services for Oracle, Hewlett Packard, and Siemens In Silicon Valley.

    PORTLAND, OREGON

    Darcie has a background in global business development in the technology industry. Her passion is framing and incubating new growth opportunities — economic, relational and spiritual — by connecting the church, private, and public entities in pursuit of good and excellent outcomes. Adventure, travel, near and far, on foot, water or wheels is her favorite fuel.

    SACRAMENTO, CALIFORNIA

    Pastor Dave and his wife, Susie, are parish pastors in their beloved Sacramento neighborhood. Their passions are intimacy with God, authentic community, and walking in love with marginalized neighbors. They welcome visitors for a tour and Mexican food!

    Bryan spent nearly 20 years working with emerging leaders in Russia and South Africa. He is a missionally-minded, neighborhood practitioner with a heart for biblical justice. He is also a die-hard Raiders and A's fan.

  • Kirk Davis

    SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA

    Kirk has years of experience ministering to the Bayview/Hunters Point community in San Francisco. Currently Kirk and his wife Denise lead Kairos of San Francisco, that equips people to be a catalyst in their community. Kairos also has a ministry that advocates for racial justice by giving artists and activists a platform and a voice for change. Kirk and Denise are avid Golden State Warriors fans.

    DENVER, COLORADO

    Sue has a Master of Theological Studies from Wesley Theological Seminary and spent over 10 years church planting in an interracial context in DC. She is building a network of pastors who are incorporating microchurches in their congregations, and she serves as Co-Coordinator for Beyond Words in Denver. When she’s not hiking with her husband, Ed, she tries to keep tickling the ivories playing classical music.

  • Al Gemmen

    GRAND RAPIDS, MICHAGAN

    Al, his wife Lisa, and their four kids have been serving with the Novo collective, InnerCHANGE. After serving as team leaders for a team in "Little Haiti" in Miami, Florida, they moved back to Grand Rapids in July of 2020. Before working with InnerCHANGE, Al served as a youth pastor of a local church for many years. Al enjoys biking the mountains of Western Michigan.

    Andrew Medlen is originally from Kansas but has made his home in St. Louis for many years now and considers it one of the best cities in the world. There you can find him serving with his wife and three kids, loving on urban pastors and leaders, and hanging out with his neighbors and friends. He is ordained and has been doing urban ministry for 20 years. And, he is extremely passionate about bacon!

  • Seth Dickson

    SAN JOSE, CALIFORNIA

    Seth has helped to curate and shape communities committed to solidarity, justice and the contemplative life as constructive alternatives to traditional church structures. He also founded and led an intentional community in East Palo Alto. Seth is a graduate of Fuller Theological Seminary and the Mercy Center’s Sacred Pathway program in Christian Contemplation. He lives with his wife, Christina; son, James; and daughter, Clare.

  • Dr. Kevin Navarro

    DENVER, COLORADO

    Kevin is passionate about bringing hope and healing to global leaders who are discouraged, disillusioned, and burned out. Kevin also has a special place in his heart for pastors who long to deepen the church’s intimacy with Christ and its impact in the world. Finally, Jesus has called Kevin to encourage and support his wife’s passion for doing soul care for women in prison. Kevin finds great delight in savoring a good cup of coffee, browsing independent bookstores and listening to Miles Davis and John Coltrane.

    DENVER, COLORADO

    Susan is an advocate for abiding with Jesus. As a spiritual director, she was trained in the charism of St. Vincent de Paul and Louise de Marillac offering spiritual direction to the poor and those on the margins. Susan has a heart for soul care for women in prison and for racial healing. Some of Susan’s great delights are her morning Matcha tea, getting lost in a good mystery and spending time with her family.

  • Oupa "Johannes" Manganye

    SOSHANGUVE, SOUTH AFRICA

    Johannes has a big heart for the poor and being a bridge between local churches and the community by creating a safe place for both parties to engage. He is a community leader, working with fathers to help them to grow in healthy engagement with their families. He and his wife also provide meals and tutoring to the children of his neighborhood. Johannes is a huge Kaizer Chiefs fan.

    Karolyn is a skilled spiritual director. She brings her listening heart to both those in recovery groups and the homeless populations with which she works. She has served as a nurse for most of her professional life.

  • Paul Bains

    EAST PALO ALTO, CA

    Pastor Paul Bains is a second-generation peninsula resident & community organizer who is deeply rooted in all aspects of the local community including the non-profit, for-profit, government, law enforcement (Chaplaincy Program), & faith-based sectors. Through his work at WeHOPE and throughout the Bay Area, Pastor Bains is fulfilling his lifelong commitment of helping the most marginalized individuals and families achieve self-sufficiency and create a more promising future.

  • Hugh Halter

    Alton, IL

    Hugh & his wife Cheryl began starting things from scratch in Portland, Oregon. Hugh started a painting company, then a Youth For Christ ministry in metro Portland, then a church, and eventually a national leadership training network called Missio. Missio’s growth propelled them to Denver where Hugh pioneered another church, an online training platform for missionary leaders called MCAP, a publishing company, and a successful series of eight books.

  • Calvin Chinn

    San Francisco

    Cal is a 2nd generation Chinese American, who grew up in Chinatown, San Francisco, and nurtured by Donaldina Cameron House and the Presbyterian Church in Chinatown, San Francisco.

    He has been an ordained Presbyterian Church (USA) minister for 56 years, serving as pastor of a congregation on the Warm Springs Indian Reservation, Oregon, the Presbyterian Church in Chinatown, San Francisco and Transitional Head of Staff at Calvary Presbyterian Church, San Francisco. Cal has served also as Assistant Professor of Ministry at San Francisco Theological Seminary and Transitional Presbytery Executive of the Presbytery of San Francisco.

    Cal hopes to bring the learnings and wisdom from his many years in the ministry to the creative and prophetic work of ReWire.
