We might articulate these desires in different ways. Some may weigh heavier than others at different times. But, chances are, these longings resonate in you. In our work, these longings come up so frequently that we actually consider them to be unifying - a connective human experience. They appear in the stories of pastors and leaders we mentor, in parishioners and spiritual seekers in every cohort we lead, and in the reflective expressions of our own ReWire team. They show up in me, and I imagine they show up in you, too. Over the next five weeks, I’d love to explore these longings with you. In the weeks ahead we’ll reflect on what these desires mean for our lives and how ReWire is helping people connect intimately with God, discover purpose, and root themselves in authentic community. Along the way, you’ll hear reflections from different ReWire voices about their own spiritual journeys. As you consider your own longings, I want to gently share mine as well: I long to see people formed by God in ways that bring healing to their lives and hope to the world. That longing is what drives ReWire’s work to deepen the Church’s intimacy with Christ and its impact in the world. And it’s why I’m asking you — if ReWire’s mission resonates with your own desires — to consider supporting our year-end campaign. Your generosity directly nurtures these deep longings in real people through spiritual formation pathways, leadership training, and communities of impact and belonging. But before you give anything, before you commit to anything, I simply invite you to reflect: Where is God stirring longing in you?
