Can you imagine that at the age of 26, I thought I knew pretty much all I needed to know as a Christian? I had only been a Christian for about eight years, but when I committed my life to following Jesus, I hit the ground running. I was involved in many Christian activities, had read through the entire Bible numerous times, and thought I knew a lot about God - yet, I had the feeling that my inner life with God had hit a plateau. I distinctly remember thinking, “This can’t be all there is to the Christian life.”

Have you ever had a moment in your spiritual journey when you also asked, “is this really all there is?” 

There is a vast difference between saying, “God loves me,” and knowing in the depths of my soul that I am the beloved of God and living from that place of belovedness. As my own journey towards belovedness unfolded, God, in His kindness, brought people into my life who were walking a deeper path and who embodied a way of life I didn’t yet know existed. They helped me discover the deeper waters I had been hungering for all along.

And truthfully? The last eight years on staff with ReWire have been the most transformative of my entire journey.

Here, I’ve found a community committed to cultivating intimacy with Christ with sincerity and conviction. I’m 60 years old now, and I can say with sincerity that my relationship with Jesus feels more alive than ever.

This inner transformation, this deepening intimacy with God — is what ReWire exists to nurture in others. Every cohort, every conversation, every formation pathway is designed to help people move from knowing about God to actually encountering God in the quiet center of their lives.
